Through the lens of Nuar Alsadir, a poet and psychoanalyst, the narrative intertwines personal experience with theoretical exploration, offering readers a rich tapestry of insights.

The Plot

Alsadir's journey navigates various terrains, from her time in clown school to the complexities of addiction, cultural commentary, and the weight of significant political events. Each chapter serves as a reflective space where the act of laughter becomes a conduit for self-discovery and authenticity. The author’s relationship with her daughters emerges as a pivotal theme, highlighting how their innocent joy and spontaneity often counterbalance the heaviness of adult life.
