Run Wild, Eagle Warrior & Swan Song Collection

In the captivating collection 'Run Wild, Eagle Warrior & Swan Song', Gill Lewis takes readers on a journey through the wild and the wondrous, featuring themes of friendship, courage, and the bond between humans and nature. This set brings together three thrilling tales that delve into the challenges faced by young protagonists as they navigate their worlds filled with mystery and adventure.

The Plot

In Run Wild, Izzy and Asha are looking for a space of their own, away from difficult families and the trouble the Skull brothers bring. The derelict building site they claim turns out to hold an unexpected wilderness and an injured wolf in desperate need of their help, highlighting the deep connections forged with animals. Through their eyes, readers experience the beauty and fragility of nature, and the lengths one will go to protect it.

Eagle Warrior shifts the focus to the Scottish Highlands, where Bobbie is thrilled when a golden eagle settles in the forest near her family's farm. When her granny's beloved dog is killed by poisoned bait, it becomes clear that someone is out to get the eagle, and Bobbie and her gran must decide how much they are prepared to risk to save it from poachers. Alongside her, readers will discover the courage required to confront fears.

Lastly, in Swan Song, Dylan has been excluded from school and has to move to the tiny Welsh village where his grandad lives. With no Xbox or internet, life looks bleak until Grandad takes him out on his boat to see the whooper swans, and out on the water Dylan begins to feel like himself again, until the swans' habitat is threatened and tragedy strikes at home. The narrative explores themes of loss and resilience and the healing power of nature, drawing readers into a heartfelt experience.
