The White Knight

In The White Knight, Scott Mariani weaves a gripping tale of intrigue and peril that takes readers on a whirlwind journey across some of the world's most captivating cities. The story begins with a brutal attack that leaves billionaire Auguste Kaprisky fighting for his life. His last surviving relative turns to the only person she can trust: ex-SAS operative Ben Hope, a man accustomed to facing danger head-on.

The Plot

Ben's mission is to uncover the truth behind the attack, leading him into a labyrinth of secrets that stretches from the vibrant streets of Miami to the historical depths of Rome and the modernity of Berlin. With few leads and high stakes, he must adapt from soldier to sleuth, all while evading those who wish to silence him. Central to the mystery is a stolen chess set, once owned by Napoleon, which holds the key to unravelling the enigma surrounding the attack.

The novel delves into themes of loyalty, the consequences of power, and the relentless pursuit of truth. Mariani's ability to blend action with cerebral puzzles creates a narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats while also prompting deeper reflection.
