Great Big Beautiful Life

Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry is a love story about two writers competing to tell one woman's life story. Set on the balmy Little Crescent Island, Henry delves into the intricacies of relationships and rivalry.

The Story

When Margaret Ives, a famously reclusive heiress, invites eternal optimist Alice Scott to the island, Alice believes this is her big break, and a chance to impress her family with a serious publication. The trouble is that rival writer Hayden Anderson, a human thundercloud, is sure of the same thing. Margaret proposes a one-month trial to uncover the truth behind one of the twentieth century's most scandalous families, after which she will choose who tells her story. But she gives each of them only tantalising pieces, and an ironclad NDA and a growing attraction between them make it hard to put those pieces together.
