Suspects

The Plot

Suspects unfolds as a gripping tale of loss and resilience. The story follows Theodora Morgan, a prominent fashion entrepreneur whose life is shattered when her husband and son are kidnapped. A year later, with the case gone cold, Theo has reluctantly returned to running her company. On a flight to New York for the launch of one of her pop-up shops, she meets high-society networker Pierre de Vaumont and invites him to her event, unaware that the CIA has flagged him. Senior CIA operative Mike Andrews, worried for her safety, poses as a lawyer to keep watch over her; their connection is instant, but Theo has no idea who he really is.

As the narrative progresses, the reader is drawn into a labyrinth of deception, wealth, and power struggles, all while Theo grapples with her own emotional turmoil. The tragic ransom event still leaves her reeling, and the life she is rebuilding is now in grave danger. The juxtaposition of her glamorous life against the backdrop of personal tragedy creates a compelling tension that resonates throughout the novel.
