Flesh & False Gods Collection

Delve into the intricate and shadowy realms of Flesh & False Gods Collection, a gripping series crafted by the talented Chloe Gong. This collection, comprising Immortal Longings and Vilest Things, invites readers into a fantasy of power plays, spilled blood and lethal romance inspired by Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, weaving a tapestry of loyalty, betrayal, and ambition.

The Plot

Set in a richly imagined universe, the narrative follows Calla Tuoleimi and Anton Makusa. In Vilest Things, Calla has won San-Er's bloody games, eliminated her tyrant uncle King Kasa and become royal adviser to the new king, August Shenzhi, knowing that Anton has taken over August's body. When Anton's first love, Otta Avia, wakes from a years-long coma with a secret that threatens the monarchy's hold on Talin, the pair must set aside their conflicts to prevent anarchy. As alliances shift and secrets unravel, the protagonists are forced to confront the darker aspects of their own humanity. The plot intricately intertwines themes of power, sacrifice, and survival.
