Embark on a journey of survival and discovery with the Children of Time series, where humanity battles for existence among the stars. This gripping three-book collection, penned by Adrian Tchaikovsky, explores profound themes of adaptation, the fragility of civilisations, and the intricate relationships between species.

The Plot

Set in a distant future, the series begins as humanity's last survivors flee the ruins of Earth in search of a new home, only to find that the world they seek holds dangers of its own. In Children of Ruin, humanity and its new spider allies send an exploration vessel after fragmentary radio signals, hoping to find cousins from old Earth, but on the world called Nod, Earth's ancient terraformers once discovered alien life and awoke something that has been waiting for them. Children of Memory moves to Imir, where the descendants of Captain Holt's colony are struggling to survive as explorers from the stars arrive in secret, unaware that they are not the only watchers.
