Fatal Legacy

Fatal Legacy immerses readers in the intricate world of Flavia Albia, a shrewd investigator who inadvertently finds herself entangled in a web of family feuds and buried secrets. What begins as a simple matter of an unpaid bar bill quickly spirals into a complex case surrounding a will that has long been the focal point of contention.

The Plot

The narrative unfolds as Flavia delves into the legacy of Appius Tranquillus Surus, who decades earlier wrote a will that freed his slaves and left his businesses to them. However, his will also includes a contentious bequest of an orchard to the Prisci family, with stipulations that have ignited a bitter rivalry. As violence erupts and legal battles ensue, the stakes escalate dramatically.

Amidst this turmoil, a love story blooms between Gaius Venuleius and Cosca Sabatina, two young people from opposing families. Their relationship, fraught with tension and the weight of history, holds the potential to bridge the divide—or plunge them deeper into chaos. As the original will and a forged codicil mysteriously vanish, Flavia must navigate through deception and danger to uncover the truth.
