Soul Searching

In "Soul Searching," Lyla Sage weaves a tale that transcends the boundaries of reality and fantasy, inviting readers into a world where love, loss, and self-discovery intertwine. Set against a backdrop of modern life, the narrative follows the journey of its protagonist, who finds herself at a crossroads, grappling with her identity and the choices that have shaped her.

The Story

Collins Cartwright does not want to go home to Sweetwater Peak, Wyoming, but when a developer tries to buy her parents' antique shop, she returns, without telling her family that she has lost her job and is out of money, or that the ghosts who have always been her companions have recently gone silent. She rents a room above the store of Brady Cooper, the new-to-town upholsterer, only to find it crawling with more ghosts who are freezing her out. Brady has his own reasons for uprooting his life, and as the two grow closer, with the ghosts pushing them together, they begin to wonder whether their temporary arrangement could become something more permanent.
