What Lies Beyond the Veil

What Lies Beyond the Veil invites readers into a richly woven tapestry of magic and danger, where the boundaries between the human realm and the Fae world are as fragile as they are perilous.

The Plot

For nearly four centuries, the Veil has shielded humankind from the Fae of Alfheimr, once worshipped as gods. In their absence, life has shifted from decadence and sin to survival and virtue under the guidance of the New Gods. However, the protagonist, a young woman with an unquenchable curiosity for the magic that lingers at the edge of her world, finds herself at a pivotal crossroads when the Veil unexpectedly shatters. The return of the Fae heralds a new era, one filled with both wonder and treachery.

The magic of faerie marks those the Fae mean to take, and the Mist Guard protecting Nothrek will kill the marked before letting the Fae have them. Forced to flee everything she has ever known, she is saved from the Wild Hunt by Caelum, who is fae-marked and on the run himself. As the Fae close in, their tentative alliance grows into an all-consuming passion she can scarcely afford.
