Foul Lady Fortune

In Foul Lady Fortune, set against the vibrant backdrop of 1931 Shanghai, readers are introduced to Rosalind Lang, an immortal assassin grappling with her tumultuous past. Brought back from the brink of death by a strange experiment four years earlier, she possesses the extraordinary ability to heal from any injury, yet her mind is clouded by the shadows of betrayal.

The Plot

As the city teeters on the brink of chaos with the looming threat of the Japanese Imperial Army, Rosalind is drawn into a dangerous investigation. A series of murders is causing unrest in the city, and with the Japanese under suspicion, she is ordered to infiltrate foreign society and identify the culprits. To do so, she must pose as the wife of fellow Nationalist spy Orion Hong, whose cavalier attitude and playboy demeanour she finds infuriating, though he has an agenda of his own. This dual identity places her in perilous situations, forcing her to confront not only external enemies but also her inner demons.
