Tales of a Country Parish

Tales of a Country Parish by Colin Heber-Percy offers an insightful glimpse into the life of a rural community, interwoven with the profound personal reflections of a parish priest. Set against the backdrop of the English countryside, this collection of reflections delves into the spiritual and social dimensions of life in a small parish, revealing the joys and challenges that come with the vocation.

The Story

The book grew out of the daily newsletter of reflections and uplifting stories that Heber-Percy began writing in Spring 2020 to stay in touch with his parishioners, which soon found readers across the country and beyond. Drawing on nature, philosophy, poetry, music and religious writing, and interlacing them with amusing and touching vignettes from his Wiltshire parish, he follows the changing seasons and moves from the small and everyday to life's big questions. The author reflects on the broader themes of faith, community, and the human condition, inviting readers to ponder their own spiritual journeys.
