Haunted in Death/Eternity in Death

Fear, revenge and deadly superstition collide in these two exclusive short stories.

The Plot

Haunted in Death
Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds herself embroiled in a chilling investigation at a nightclub reputed to be haunted. The discovery of a recent corpse, along with the remains of the missing singer Bobbie Bray, sends shockwaves through the community. While many attribute the events to ghostly vengeance, Eve is determined to uncover a more grounded explanation for the sinister occurrences.

Eternity in Death
In the second tale, notorious it-girl Tiara Kent is found dead in her plush Manhattan apartment, and the murder looks to everyone like a vampire attack, to everyone except the ever-practical Eve. As hysteria spreads, the discovery of Tiara's secret lover, a Dark Prince, leads Eve and her team into the darkest corners of the city and deep into their own fears.

Themes

Both stories intertwine themes of superstition and rationality, showcasing Eve's relentless pursuit of truth in a world where the line between the supernatural and the tangible often blurs. The narratives explore the human psyche, revenge, and the consequences of past actions, all while maintaining a gripping pace.
