Ryan's Christmas: A DCI Ryan Mystery

In Ryan's Christmas: A DCI Ryan Mystery, esteemed author LJ Ross invites readers to delve into a gripping tale set against the backdrop of the festive season. The story unfolds as DCI Ryan and his dedicated team, enjoying the festive season, find themselves caught up in a murder after a freak snowstorm strands them in the remote heart of Northumberland.

The Plot

After a busy year of fighting crime, Ryan and his murder detectives are enjoying goodwill and mulled wine, and, in DS Phillips’ case, a stottie cake or two. Then a freak snowstorm forces their car off the main road, and they have to take shelter in England’s most haunted castle, where they become the uninvited guests at a ‘Candlelit Ghost Hunt’. The fun ends abruptly when one of the guests is murdered.

It seems that no mortal hand could have committed the crime, so Ryan and his team must face the spectres within the castle walls to uncover the grisly truth before another ghost joins their number. The festive atmosphere contrasts starkly with the dark undertones of the crime, creating a compelling narrative that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
