Description
Embroidery: The Art of Yoshioka is the first art book from the up-and-coming illustrator Yoshioka, inviting readers into a world of fantasy stories. Yoshioka's illustrations of plants, animals, nature and other motifs recall storybook worlds, leading the viewer on a journey through a fantasy realm that is sometimes happy and sometimes dark.
Inside the Book
Alongside Yoshioka's original works, the book includes illustrations for the TV anime series PSYCHO-PASS 3, CD jacket art for Who-ya Extended, the musician behind the theme song of the TV anime Jujutsu Kaisen, and a variant cover for the comic Bloodborne (Ales Kot/Titan Comics), and more. It also features:
- The Making of the Cover: A behind-the-scenes look at how Yoshioka creates a narrative illustration.
- Process: From the artist's work environment and rough sketches to drawing, painting and finishing.
- Style: Narrative works with a watercolour touch, created mainly for books and music-related artwork.
