The Plot

Hired in 2022 to delve into the financial dealings of a mysterious Russian oligarch, former spy Simon Sharman finds worrying patterns: regular trips to Oxford for no apparent reason, and offshore payments that suddenly stop. Has he found a Russian spy ring nestled at the heart of the British Establishment, or is he just a paranoid ex-spook obsessed with redemption? Beaumont expertly crafts a narrative filled with moral ambiguity and psychological depth, exploring the ramifications of choices made in the shadows. The reader is taken on a journey through a landscape of shifting loyalties, where every ally may also be a potential enemy.
