Kalynn Bayron Collection (Cinderella Is Dead, This Poison Heart & This Wicked Fate)

Kalynn Bayron's Kalynn Bayron Collection brings together three captivating novels that explore themes of identity, empowerment, and the subversion of traditional narratives. This collection includes Cinderella Is Dead, This Poison Heart, and This Wicked Fate, each weaving a unique tale that challenges the status quo.

The Plot

All three books are by Kalynn Bayron, and This Poison Heart and This Wicked Fate together form a fantasy duology.

This Poison Heart introduces readers to Briseis, a girl with a mysterious gift: the ability to make plants grow and thrive. When she inherits an old house from her birth mother and begins to bring its rambling garden back to life, she uncovers generations of dark family secrets and a lineage of witches reaching back to ancient times. The lush prose and vivid imagery create a compelling atmosphere that draws readers into Briseis's journey.

Finally, in This Wicked Fate, the second and final book of the duology, Briseis's mother is dead, and her one chance of bringing her back is to find the last piece of the deadly Absyrtus Heart, which means turning to blood relatives she has never known. Bayron's ability to craft intricate plots keeps readers on the edge of their seats, as they witness the characters grapple with their fates.
